Our client has an immediate requirement for Manager – Commercial Management in both the West (preferred: Seattle, San Francisco or Los Angeles) & Midwest (preferred location: Chicago IL). Current or very recent top tier consulting experience essential.Please note: no sponsorship can be provided.POSITION SUMMARY:The Manager reports to the Managing Director of Commercial Management and is responsible for providing commercial support for the most complex pursuits for the company. This position is primarily focused on interacting with client leaders, third party advisors, and pursuit team leaders and providing sound business and risk advice to ensure a good contract is developed by all stakeholders.LEVEL OVERVIEW:Individual Contributor - works with other senior pursuit leaders to ensure the appropriate outcome.  Makes decisions on complex contract matters. Represents the highest professional conduct to colleagues and clients. Highly developed negotiation skills are used to resolve controversial situations, customer negotiations and influence executive management.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:?      Negotiate on company’s behalf in opportunities where the client is utilizing a third party advisor.?      Provide continual feedback, based on deals and market knowledge, to assist in keeping the commercial guardrails and methodologies up to date?      Provides Commercial input to responses to RFPs and contract renewals to mitigate risks through the solution design and contract languageREQUIRED EXPERIENCE:?      10+ years of professional experience in commercial and/or contract management?      5+ years of leading contract negotiations for complex deals?      Multiple examples of leading negotiations in which a third party advisor is involved?      Strong negotiation skills in enterprise IT environments and outsourced managed services infrastructure service solutions (i.e. Servers/Storage, Network, Data Center, Security, end user computing, mobility, etc.)?      Strong technical and pre-sales knowledge in multiple areas of IT Infrastructure Services?      Understanding of multiple solution domains – Business Management, Service Management, Operations Management and Application DevelopmentREQUIRED CREDENTIALS & SKILLS:?      Minimum of a Bachelor Degree in Business, Economics, English or equivalent experience. Master in Business Administration, Juris Doctor or Master of Laws preferred or equivalent experience.?      Strong understanding of legal terminology as used in outsourcing contracts?      Strong understanding of commercial terminology (including SLAs, ARC/RRCs, Termination)?      Advanced negotiating skillsCOMPETENCIES:?      Negotiating skills?      Collaboration?      Ability to deal with multiple deals and conflicting timelines?      Proposal writing?      Executive level communication skillsPHYSICAL & COGNITIVE REQUIREMENTS?      Ability to travel overnight up to 25%?      Ability to read, interpret and apply (policies and legal instructions, or technical documents) in English?      Ability to remain calm in emotionally-charged situations?      Ability to manage simultaneous and conflicting priorities in an effective manner?      Ability to manage to and meet deadlines?      Ability to identify and protect confidential informationWORK ENVIRONMENT?      Work may be required on weekends and non-traditional business hours?      Work is generally performed in a corporate environment or home office, but may also occur at a customer site or remote office?      Business casual, but corporate offices and/or customers may have dress codes that exceed guidelines and must be accommodated
