The client is a world leading retailer with a pioneering business model, developing their own technology and new customer propositions, opening multiple automated distribution sites at an accelerating rate and engaging in exciting new business partnerships globally. They have made pioneering technological advances that has played a major role in their global development and they are looking to recruit a Localisation Engineer.
As a Localisation Engineer, you will be working within a team of change and support engineers, and alongside product specialists, to understand, identify and implement mechanical handling equipment (MHE) customisation for regional and local markets.
The principal focus will be ensuring MHE products are compliant with state, federal, national and regional regulations and directives. This will be achieved by developing a general understanding of our products, identifying compliance gaps and managing any modifications through to completion.
This role would be perfect for an experienced Localisation Engineer with a background in mechanical/electrical assemblies (MHE ideally) looking to join a fast-paced, challenging team, with the opportunity to be working on large-scale international projects with some exciting technologies.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications
Own all aspects of MHE product localisation
Work with product specialists to identify the full scope of product compliance
Apply product engineering knowledge to determine regional or local MHE requirements and identify gaps
Develop technical and lingual solutions to fill gaps in product compliance
Raise changes and/or customisations through the local change process and manage through to completion
Direct translation, or management of the translation, of product installation, operation and maintenance manuals, labels and signage
Champion the localisation requirements of product engineering when working with other stakeholders
Solid experience within a Localisation Engineer position, preferably within an electro-mechanical environment (and ideally MHE)
Proven background working within at least one non-UK regulatory framework (e.g. US CFR)
Excellent attention to detail
Proven experience working directly with engineering/development teams
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Experience working with CAD package
IT literate, proficient with Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite
Preferred (in addition to minimum):
Experience of CogniDox or Trello
Knowledge of automation (MHE) and general engineering and appreciation of applicable directives, codes standards etc.
Remote coordination and support experience
International working experience
Awareness of field installation of products and/or systems
Experience in a CAT package will be beneficial
