McLeod Center Hickory has an immediate opening for a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse. The Ideal individual is responsible for all aspects of medical care for McLeod Center's clients. Vital signs, medication administration, observation of client behaviors, and assistance with physical examinations are included, along with other nursing functions as sanctioned by the North Carolina State Board of Nursing. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements: Licensed by the North Carolina Board of Nursing as a LPN or license has multistate practice privileges by authority of the Nurse Licensure Compact.

McLeod Center is designed and managed for the sole purpose of providing an appropriate level of care for persons living in the Carolinas who are seeking education, intervention, treatment, or support related to their addictive disease. Abstinence from the use of mood altering substances will be the primary intent of all services provided.

McLeod Center offers methadone and buprenorphine treatment for opiate dependence in 9 outpatient treatment programs across Central and Western North Carolina, with locations in Boone, Charlotte, Concord, Gastonia, Hickory, Lenoir, Marion, Monroe, and Statesville.

McLeod Center was awarded the 2013 National Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors (NAADAC) Organizational Achievement Award for it's commitment and contribution to professional development in the field of addiction.
