As a Java Full Stack Web Application Developer, you will become part of a small team responsible for delivering solutions that will work in concert with existing Commodity Trading and back office systems to provide additional functionality and a seamless user experience. The ideal candidates will have experience developing and supporting web applications using Java, Spring MVC, core web technologies & Open Source Tools, working within an Agile environment building the Application within the Amazon Web Services Cloud, even if you don't have AWS experience.
Required Skills and Experience: • 5+ years Web application development with heavy emphasis using Spring MVC Framework • 2+ years' experience building UI Controls using JQuery, AJAX, JSON, a templating framework such as Mustache templates and Bootstrap • Exposure to Tomcat, JBoss or any other opensource Java application server • Candidate must have a strong understanding of UI, cross-browser compatibility, general web functions and standards • Familiarity with Pentaho Reporting or other Report writing tools such tools as Crystal Reports, Active Reports • Experience leveraging Open Source relational SQL databases, MYSQL preferred • Functional knowledge of Hibernate or any other ORM technology • Experience working with SCM systems (such as Subversion, Git, Mercurial, VSS, or TFS) • Experience working with open source integration tools such as Pentaho Data Integration, Talend or a willingness to self-learn and use these technologies • Familiarity working with Apache ActiveMQ or any other open source Java messaging queue and processing messages using Java • Familiarity working with Eclipse or any other Opensource IDE • Familiarity coding with SharePoint and C# Other Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/MIS or related field preferred • Excellent communication and conceptual skills with the ability to effectively communicate with business and technical team members • Solid understanding of Object Oriented Analysis and Design • Demonstrated experience throughout the full SDLC Experience working in a team environment • Self-Starter, motivated and proactive with strong time management skills and ability to juggle multiple efforts • Ability to self-learn new programming and WEB technologies • Oracle Java Certification is a plus!
