We need following candidate:

Title: IT Project Manager (Networks)- M&A Experience

Location: San Jose, CA

Duration: 6+ Months

Position Summary:

The Senior IT Project Manager will have the responsibility of managing projects, ensuring the teams deliver quality results, on time, in budget and within scope, and with a high customer satisfaction. As such, this PM will proactively work with all project team members and be responsible for the different aspects of Project Management.

Skills/experience specific to this position:

The candidate should have a demonstrable history of IT Project Management in the areas of IT Networks and M&A (Mergers & Acquisitions):

  • Experience with Agile projects is a plus,
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills,
  • Strong focus on customer service
  • Experienced with multi-national and distributed development environments,
  • Strong work ethic, self-starter, creative, high level of energy, enthusiasm,
  • Must be fluent in English and communicate effectively with all levels of staff and management (verbal and written).

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manage project deliverables and milestones within approved timelines and budget
  • Utilize Western Digital's System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Project Management Methodology to manage the development, customization, configuration, testing, and implementation of IT systems
  • Manage and coordinate day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of approved projects
  • May lead cross-functional linked teams to address business or systems issues
  • Build relationships and collaborate cross-functionally to lead project delivery teams towards successful project outcomes
  • Document decisions and action items of team meetings
  • Collect risks, issues, and dependencies associated with larger IT programs
  • Run review meetings with IT Program Managers
  • Assist with the development of standard SDLC methodologies (Waterfall, Agile/Scrum)
  • Assist with the development of harmonized Program/Project Management methodologies

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA (with an IT focus) preferred or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of relevant industry experience, with at least 8 years of hands-on IT Project Management Experience.
  • Significant knowledge of the SDLC methodologies
  • Must possess strong documentation skills and can work with rapid change and fast pace
  • High energy and ability to work both independently and across multiple teams in very fast growth environment
  • Excellent business systems analysis and project management skills
  • Exceptionally collaborative, flexible and adaptable when working with customers and various teams within Western Digital
  • Self-motivated and self-directed, however, must have demonstrated ability to work well as team
  • A proven desire to work as a team member, both on the same team and outside of the team
  • Ability to troubleshoot and analyze complex problems
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to be a team player in geographically dispersed teams
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills to manage complex process and technology issues
  • Excellent desktop software skills - MS Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Visio, etc

Additional Desired Qualifications

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is highly desired
  • MBA a plus
