Interface Manager - London - up to £45,000 + package
URecruit are working in partnership with one of the UK's leading Utilities provider in order to source an Interface Manager to work on the largest infrastructure project in Europe, which is HS2. The Interface Manager is responsible for ensuring all physical, functional, operational and process information linkages necessary for a successful Project Delivery exist and are effective, including contractual, technical and all other boundarys identified through the project lifetime.
The Interface Manage is accountable for identifying all interfaces necessary and for developing and implementing the Project Implementation Plan, as well as assessing its continued effectiveness and adapting changes to suit the ever changing needs of the Project.

Their primary responsibilities for the Interface Manager are: -
-Ensure that all interfaces affected are identified;
-Ensure that all interfaces are recorded;
-Ensure that the interfacing parties for each interface are clearly identified;
-Ensure that the interface is correctly classified according to the definitions provided in the HS2 Interface Management documents and procedures
-Ensure that the requirements for each critical interface are clearly defined and ownership agreed by the interfacing parties
-Ensure that the designs and plans produced incorporate the interface requirements agreed by the interfacing parties as part of the design verification and validation process;
-Provide verification criteria for closure of the critical interfaces at the design reviews;
-Provide regular reports on the status of the interfaces;
-The high-level Interfaces necessary for an effective Deign outcome, for which the Interface Manager will be accountable to manage include:
HS2 Project interfaces to parties and organisations outside the project or "external to HS2 interfaces", these include interfaces with:
o Technical Stakeholders such as Network Rail, Power and other utilities, Transport for London and Statutory Authorities.
o Public and Environmental Stakeholders such as the Public, Landholders, Members of Parliament, Local Councils. Code 2 - Accepted with Comments (Revise and Resubmit)
o Public and Environmental Stakeholders such as the Public, Landholders, Local Councils.
o Client project, operational and commercial interfaces within the Client project organisation
o HS2 project and organisational interfaces
o Client "technical interfaces" between the various design and construction disciplines within the client project team.
The successful Interface Manager candidate will possess the following skills, attributes and experience:
-Previous experience in a similar role with aligned responsibilities and accountabilities
-Highly Professional approach while being flexible and personable to ensure buy-in from the Team including Client personnel
-Ability to negotiate and develop flexible approaches to the delivery of interface techniques without mitigating Quality Management Standards
-Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships within company and across its HS2 Portfolio of projects
-Develop successful working parties and teams to deliver specific Project Improvement requirements alongside current duties
-Strong Communications skills and a personable nature are vital for success in this role
-Highly credible and trustworthy, delivery to agreed timescales every time and proactive attitude
-Resilient and confident, able to adapt to change quickly and positively
-Calm under pressure and ability to liaise with clients and peers at all levels in a challenging environment
