Our client is seeking an Insurance Coordinator. Review certificates, endorsements and policies of subcontractors etc. The client has an active roster of 10-15 projects going at one time.

Must be licensed broker. Review subcontractor insurance documents and policies to confirm and resolve insurance compliance issues on coverage before being awarded the job. The person needs to be able to read, interpret and discuss insurance coverage with subcontractors' broker. Must have thorough understanding of NYS laws as it relates to insurance in the construction industry.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
Must be able to maintain confidentiality on all matters and not get involved with office politics
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently without constant supervision
Experience working in the construction or building development field with insurance certificates, endorsements or experience in the insurance industry preferred
Must be able to read, understand and explain insurance terminology, endorsements and insurance policies and requirements for construction/development projects
Work with all departments to ensure all subcontractors have appropriate insurance prior to being on the job
Maintain database of insurance certificates and track expiration dates
Position is very busy…Handle heavy phone/email with insurance brokers and subcontractors to resolve insurance
Work well with others and work as a team
Must have a positive attitude and be able to multitask
Company has 401K with employer contribution Health care, dental, vision
Hours: 8:30 to 5pm. Must be on time, be able to stay late if something needs to be reviewed for the next day
