Job Title: Injection Molding Shift Technician

Location: Greater Manchester

Salary: Competitive + Benefits

Working on an exclusive basis with a Global FMCG business in the Manchester area. Following strong investment, my client is keen to attract some external talent with fresh ideas and ways of working to achieve and exceed targets.

Job Summary:

Shift responsibility for components produced in Moulding and Assembly
Identify Assembly issues and establish root cause to delegate responsibility to appropriate department e.g. engineers
Carry out tool changes to the SOC and ensuring quality is kept to company standards
Ensure the correct materials are used in correspondence with the PQCT
Carry out quality testing to ensure the components are in spec and take appropriate actions including following non-conformance procedures
Liaise with operator, ensuring that visual checks are completed in a timely and efficient manner
Carry out minor process changes to keep the products in spec including switching off non-conforming cavities and documenting the changes made
Monitor Assembly process to identify Injection Moulding issues
Liaise with the assembly and ensure any quality issues are investigated, root cause identified and addressed including documentation of the remedial action
Ensure documentation of all production is entered into the relevant spread sheets including downtime and scrap levels
Stock movement, FIFO in both Moulding and Assembly
Hand over communication for both Assembly and Moulding
Ensure full traceability through the system

The individual;

Experience in fast paced - high volume production environment, preferably packaging, food & drink or FMCG with 2-3 or more years people management
Strong leadership, planning and organisational skills
Conversant in lean manufacturing principles
Ideally IOSH Managing Safely qualified
Dynamic, energetic, self-driven and positive "can do" outlook
