Health & Safety and Compliance Administrator

iRecruit are looking for a Health & Safety and Compliance Administrator to work for our client based in Doncaster (DN3 area, near Kirk Sandall).

Work with the Group Health and Safety Manager to ensure that all safety and environmental legislation is adhered to and the company policies and practices are implemented and followed.

Keep a full accurate site training matrix and ensure that all training is carried out within a timely manner.

Strong IT skills and good eye for details with previous experience in similar type of role would be advantage

The client is leading provider of recycling and waste management services to customers.

This position is on a 12 week temporary to permanent basis, and on completion of the 12 weeks if both parties agree employment could be offered directly with the client.

Responsibilities:

* Comply with and promote compliance with Safety and Environmental standards (internal and external)

* Daily walk round health and safety checks and documented corrective action where applicable

* Site induction for internal and external customers

* Full PPE training and ordering PPE

* Up keep of Fire alarms, weekly alarm tests and conduct regular fire drills

* Record and investigate all near misses and accidents on company internal database

* Escalate serious health and safety breaches to H&S Manager and Depot Manager

* Check Safetech belts on a weekly basis

* Upkeep of site staff training matrix

* Arrange and record all training when applicable to ensure complaint at all times

* Completing work permits and permits to work for staff and third party contractors

* Keep official communication logs with signatures in relation to business changes for health and safety and compliance audits

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8.00am to 4.30pm

Pay rate: £8.21p/h (please note if permanent role will be offered after 12 weeks the salary package for this role is 18-19k p/a)
