Salary: c£32-40k + bonus (depending on experience)

Our client is an award winning, family owned leisure & tourism business with its Head Office located in Kendal, Cumbria. They operate a selection of caravan parks, letting properties, retails outlets and visitor attractions in the Lake District and are looking for a Cluster Park General Manager to oversee 3 parks located around Lake Windermere. This is an exciting time to be involved with this business, having recently committed over £2m to improve their self-catering and glamping options, including safari tents, lakeside cottages & pods, woodland pods and lodge; with 4 further woodland cottages and boat house due for completion next Spring. Additionally, £0.5m has been spent on pitch development and park presentation with many more projects earmarked over the next few years and they now need the right person to lead the park during the next phase of its development.

This role reports directly into the Head of Parks and, supported centrally by marketing, projects, finance, HR, H&S and retail functions, you will lead a small team of HOD's to successfully manage the parks, ensuring the 300+ caravan/lodge owners, the 30+ touring pitches visitors and guests of 35+ self-catering/glamping units, receive a warm welcome and an enjoyable stay and, if something does go wrong, they are dealt with in a fair minded and timely manner. On a day to day basis you would be expected to get involved in retail, holidays sales, caravan/holiday homes sales, maintenance & grounds, finance, marketing, as well as taking time out to look at the bigger picture of the parks.

To be shortlisted for this role, you will ideally have a minimum of 5 years' experience in a Holiday Park/General Manager role, but alternatively you may also have good broad level general management experience, evidencing the management of many different departmental heads. You will naturally have great people & management skills and be accustomed to delivering the highest levels of customer service at all times.
