Job Role: GC&EManager  Dueto the current VISA RESTRICTIONS only candidates from within theUAE with a current UAE Residence Visa can be considered for thisvacancy. AGC&E Manager is responsible for overseeing the SalesCoordinators and the Groups Coordinator working with the Hotel toachieve pre-established goals. Responsible for maximizing salesresults Hotel Groups and Events. As a Groups andEvents Manager, you will work following the development of theGroups and Sales Coordinators team who will attend the events inthe hotel, always validating the quality and efficiency of ourservices and also should do the following tasks with the higherstandards: Specifically, the Groups and Events Manager will performthe following tasks to the highest standards Supervise the Sales Coordinators work to deliver ourstandard services to our customer and achieve our financialgoal Visit the customer with the Sales Managerto guarantee the success of the biggest groups andevents Get involved with the negotiations forgroups and events to maximize the resultsCoordinate the “function meeting”with the vital information about the groups and events that willhappen in the next 10 days Be responsible forthe weekly communication meeting with the coordinatorsTo know and promote the hotel facilities and also to havethe knowledge of our competitors’ strengths andweakness Organize the hotel’s visitand attend the unexpected requests Be thecontact between the client and the hotel staff, when it’snecessary Team work and total cooperation withthe Sales Managers and Revenue Management to ensure that the entiresales process is completed and up to dateUpdate daily the sales activities on the hotels systems,ensuring that those information are correct and consistent to be atthe Groups Report Review rates, groups,deadlines and waiting lists Review commissionreports for groups, events and Food and BeverageTo be part of special activities, such as: secretariescocktails, welcome dinner for groups, etc.Make sure that all the request should be answered in 24hours Keep yourself informed about the clientsand engage the relationship with them To keepa nice work environment and good communication in the departmentand also with the other departments in the hotel to ensurecompliance with Brand Standards and ensuring customer/guestsatisfaction Comply with the stipulated timesand adapt to changes according to the hotel'soperation’s needs To know andpromote the hotel’s activities and events To successfully fill this role, you shouldmaintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values thatfollow: Complete Graduate Degree orMBA in Management, Hospitality or MarketingFluent English and a second language desirablePrevious sales and events / banquets, preferably inHotel, and positions of leadership and supervision teamsCritical analysis to strategically evaluate the sales ofshares to be taken Ability to analyze andmanage multiple tasks Ability to Manage Stresssituations, always promoting a constructive and positiveattitude Knowledge of Product and Marketing,such as: Politics, Operation and Structure of Hotel, super visionand organization of team members The abilityto solve problems quickly and efficientlySense of organization and planningGood written and verbal communication
