Job Title: Finance Business Partner

Location: Churchill Hospital, OX3 7LE- Hybrid role (2 days in the office)

Pay: £26.06 per hour

About the Trust

What you'll be responsible for:

  • Lead on monitoring commissioning income for the Division, including Referral To Treatment (RTT), demand management, forecasting and monthly review of activity and capacity.
  • Support the Senior Finance Business Partner in establishing the continued long-term financial viability of the various strands of the Division under the Payment by Results regime and to ensure the recovery of income is maximised.
  • Lead for two of the Directorates within the Division, providing comprehensive financial management support to budget holders, including budget setting, forecasting and review.
  • Support the Senior Finance Business Partner in preparing, reviewing and maintaining a robust financial forecast for the Division.
  • Lead on Service line reporting (SLR) and annual reference costs for the Division. Benchmark services provided by the Division against similar organisations using reference costs and other data in order to facilitate continuous improvement.

You'll learn the following whilst working at the trust:

  1. An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS
  2. Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times
  3. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation

You'll have the following skills/experience:

  • Experience of working in a financial management position, ideally within the NHS.
  • Knowledge of NHS financial management procedures and processes, ideally in an NHS acute provider organisation.
  • Experience of setting income & expenditure budgets and of financial forecasting
  • Knowledge of NHS financial information systems
  • Knowledge of NHS acute provider costing techniques and systems.
  • Knowledge of Payment by Results, in particular as they relate to complex acute providers.
  • NHS Experience

This role requires you to show a Professional Accountancy Qualification and relevant experience.
