Job description

Working onsite, and with experience gained in a similar role, the successful candidate will be motivated and dynamic. Working in a fast paced environment you will be responsible for the development and project management of and introduction of Plastic Injection Mould tooling and processes.
* Key involvement and contribution to Tooling and projects
* Design concepts through to production launch
* Project management of IM based activities
* Continuous process and tooling improvement to achieve high performance levels (OEE)
* Liaising with tooling manufacture to ensure Design for manufacture
* Working with NPI function to ensure process/tool performance at sample stages and SOP
* Work with equipment suppliers to ensure base technologies compatible with tooling standards and process performance requirements.
* Advantageous: simulation software use/exposure (e.g. mould flow, sigmasoft)
* Manage process developments supporting NPI for new products and materials. Building and maintaining working relationships / connections across the Group and externally e.g. customers and suppliers to achieve progress on objectives and shared interests
* Applying financial awareness in process design and supplier selection;
* Degree/HND/HNC or equivalent in an engineering discipline.
* Thorough working knowledge and experience of Plastic Injection Mould Tooling and processes / Strong exposure to closed tool technologies.
* Demonstrable Experience of design (development of processes and/or equipment).
* Management of projects associated with equipment specification, procurement and implementation.
* Ability to devise implement and manage systems and methods for the introduction of new product into production and design for manufacture.
* Equipment specification and subsequent compliance management.
* Practical experience of complex data analysis using 6 Sigma, Lean tools or equivalent.
* A practical knowledge and application of equipment benchmarking and testing
* Proficient and practical experience of managing multiple projects IT: proficient in CAD (Inventor, AutoCAD), MS Office tools, data analysis tools, document management systems.
Details of Package:
£40,000: £60,000 PA (depending on experience) + Competitive Benefits, Including Generous Holiday Entitlement + Flexible working
Dayshift / Site Based with some flexible working around daily core hours
