Quality Control Manager

Biopharmaceutical

North West

Contract

I have partnered with a global biopharmaceutical company hoping to introduce a Quality Control Manager to oversee testing of release, raw materials, stability as well as investigational testing within quality control in both chemistry and microbiology at the manufacturing site.

Responsibilities/Duties

Maintains and updates SOP's
Executes plant-wide chemistry investigations on Trackwise QMS
Utilises the change control management process to initiate and drive change
Reviews the data and test records to Pharmacopeia standards
Maintains external PM/repairs and reviews reports
Ensures timely reporting of non-conformances, exceptions and changes
Responsible for maintaining EHS programme
Ensure testing is scheduled and executed to meet the batch release cycle time
Responsible for the reviewing all electronic audit trials
Routinely backs up and archives all instruments in line with their retention policy

Experience

Minimum of 5 years' experience of working within a laboratory
Experience working within a healthcare manufacturing environment
Qualified to IOSHH (preferably)
Experience gained in a GLP/GMP environment and knowledge of cGMP in EU/FDA (advantage)
Lean laboratory experience and ability to use and deploy lean tools
Experience with Electronic Laboratory Information Management systems; data acquisition systems (e.g. Empower3) and data integrity (e.g. ALCOA+)
GFAAS and HPLC
