Job Title: Senior Mechanical Design Engineer (Building Services)
Location: Chelmsford
Salary: Circa 60,000 (depending on experience)

With 10 services offered in-house, the 50-member team collaborates to craft bespoke solutions for each project. Their project portfolio spans across Commercial & Retail, Defence, Education, Environment, Healthcare, Industrial, and Residential sectors.

Your new role:
As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer you will assume a pivotal position within the team, operating with a high level of autonomy. Your role demands strong organisational skills, flexibility, drive, and forward-thinking, ensuring the delivery of high-quality work within tight deadlines. Moreover, you will be responsible for overseeing the mechanical engineering aspects of junior team members contributing to projects.

Key duties encompass:
Leading designated projects as a Project Leader.
Collaborating within a larger team on specific projects.
Participating in principal meetings and delivering client presentations for selected projects.
Elevating the standard of technical excellence in mechanical engineering within the team.
Cultivating the potential to become a primary contact for key clients over time.
Contributing to generating repeat business through exceptional customer care.
Tackling a diverse range of technically challenging and engaging projects across various sectors.
Directly engaging with clients and participating in all project stages from inception to completion.
Working closely with team members to achieve shared objectives.
Producing drawings, specifications, and providing guidance for calculations.
In this role, your expertise will be instrumental in driving forward projects and maintaining the highest standards of mechanical engineering excellence.
