Responsibilities:

Estimation:

Leading the estimation process for development, construction, and cladding projects, ensuring precision and accuracy in all cost assessments.

Project Evaluation:

Evaluating project requirements, specifications, and drawings to determine the necessary materials, labour, and equipment for successful completion.

Cost Analysis:

Conducting thorough cost analysis, considering factors such as materials pricing, labour rates, equipment expenses, and overhead costs.

Bid Preparation:

Crafting detailed bid proposals, including comprehensive cost breakdowns, schedules, and project timelines, aligned with client requirements and company objectives.

Collaboration:

Collaborating closely with project managers, engineers, architects, and subcontractors to gather relevant information and insights for accurate estimations.

Risk Assessment:

Identifying and assessing potential risks and uncertainties associated with projects, and proposing effective mitigation strategies to ensure project success.

Market Research:

Staying abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and pricing fluctuations to inform cost estimations and maintain competitiveness.

Client Interaction:

Engaging with clients during the bidding process, presenting cost estimates, addressing queries, and providing clarification as required.

Vendor Management:

Managing relationships with material suppliers, subcontractors, and service providers to negotiate favourable terms and secure competitive pricing.

Documentation:

Maintaining comprehensive records of all estimation activities, including cost data, project documentation, correspondence, and contracts.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimation, preferably in residential and commercial development projects.

Proficiency in construction estimating software and tools, such as Bluebeam, Procore, or similar platforms.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex project requirements and specifications.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Attention to detail and accuracy, with a commitment to delivering high-quality work within tight deadlines.

Knowledge of industry regulations, building codes, and standards related to construction estimation.

Proven track record of successfully estimating and bidding on projects of varying sizes and complexities.

Additional Information:

The role will primarily involve estimating residential high-rise Fa ade/Cladding remedial works, with tender opportunities coming from various Housing Association Frameworks and private ventures.

The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of experience within the construction industry, as well as experience in Fa ade and on-screen Take off, such as Bluebeam.
