As a very profitable site producing circa 20,000 tonnes of product per year, we have continued to grow at an impressive rate, with those growth plans set to accelerate further still, we are now planning for the future and require an experienced Health and Safety/Regulatory Manager to safeguard our current processes/practices/site safety and look to future-proof our manufacturing facility.

BASIC SALARY: £45,000 - £55,000

JOB DESCRIPTION: Health and Safety Manager, Health and Safety Advisor - Chemicals, COMAH

You will assist our current Health and Safety Lead in driving safety improvement through policy implementation, procedure, and safe systems of work. You will encourage open promotion of a safety culture in the workplace and will be supported by a large capital expenditure budget, a progressive and extremely approachable and realistic Site lead, and a senior leadership team who will welcome change and improvement across the site.

You will also be responsible for the following:
Influencing on-site strategy and investment decisions
Measuring and improving safety performance via measurement and tracking of key leading and logging safety KPI's.
Oversee safe operating practices including appropriate control of contractors and permits.
Writing SOP's, policies, and risk assessments.

PERSON SPECIFICATION: Health and Safety Manager, Health and Safety Advisor - Chemicals, COMAH

You will be an experienced Health and Safety Manager with knowledge/exposure to REACH / COSHH / COMAH regulations. Looking to use your previous experience working within a Scientific / Chemical Engineering environment to drive positive change and maintain our high standard of Health and Safety on site.

In addition, you will have:
A formal Health and Safety qualification
Excellent attention to detail with high levels of computer literacy
Ideally experienced in proprietary online incident/action tracking databases (SPHERA)
Awareness of regulatory frameworks (REACH/RFI/Proprietary MSDS systems)

It is highly likely you will have worked in any of the following roles and/or markets, and worked with the following products and/or services: Health and Safety Manager, Health and Safety Advisor, Regulatory Manager - HSE, Site Safety, EHandS, NEBOSH, COSHH, COMAH, REACH, Regulatory, Compliance, Environmental Safety, UFI, Chemicals, Adhesives, Raw Materials, Resins, Epoxy, Chemistry, Polyester.

We are a synthetic resin manufacturer based in the UK. We produce an ever-widening range of resins primarily based on unsaturated polyester. We also manufacture a range of speciality resins with epoxy, and acrylic functionality.
