Job description

Job description We currently have an exciting opportunity within A&O's tech innovation space, Fuse. The Fuse Manager will work closely with the Head of Fuse on the day-to-day management of the tech space and its engagement with the Fuse cohort, internal and external visitors and for planning, tracking and driving forward opportunities that Fuse creates. The role offers the potential for the right individual to grow in the role and play a direct role in creating and winning client opportunities and engagements. Fuse by Allen & Overy In September 2017 A&O opened Fuse, a tech innovation space in our London office between Shoreditch and the City of London, as a working environment for a community of technology innovators. Fuse complements A&O's established profile in the fintech world and is an integral part of the firm's 'Advanced delivery' capability which includes its legal technology group, Project Management Office, Legal Services Centre, Peerpoint and aosphere. The community is made up of four groups: early stage technology companies; small teams from more mature tech companies; representatives from clients of the firm; and A&O technologists. The 8 month programme for the first cohort of technology companies has just ended and the second cohort started on 1 May 2018. In the short time since its opening, Fuse has come to be recognised as a leading global centre for innovative legaltech, regtech, and dealtech: technology to support work on law, regulation, and deal-making. It is unique among law firm offerings. The key benefits for A&O are: the insight it generates into the legal tech world; the impetus it gives A&O lawyers to adopt technology in their daily work; the positive impact on client relationships and the resulting work opportunities to which it contributes; and the branding impact on A&O and our tech profile in the market. In the 8 months of the first programme, over 5,500 visitors, comprising A&O people and external visitors, including many clients, visited Fuse.
