Job description

My client is a vibrant arts organisation and events venue with a rich history and passionate character. They are currently seeking an experienced Finance Officer to join the team on an interim basis. This is a great opportunity to join a creative and dynamic culture in a varied role.

The role:

To provide financial and accountancy support including invoicing, payments, account keeping and payroll/salary requirements across the organisation.
With a focus on the preparation for audit:
Reviewing invoices and ensuring they have been signed off correctly
Helping to prepare the audit files with supporting documents
Collecting and adding supplier bank account details and email addresses to Sage

Person Specification:

A basic accountancy qualification is required including detailed knowledge of financial systems and protocols
Strong in depth experience and demonstrable skill of working with Purchase ledger, Sales ledger and Banking is essential including accurate data entry
Experience or appreciation for working within a heritage, arts and cultural environment
Highly organised, proactive, confident and diligent.
