Job description

EYFS/KS1 Teacher for September 2018, Enfield, North London
Pay scale: Main Pay Scale
Commencing: September 2018

GSL Education are currently looking for a permanent EYFS / KS1 teacher to start in September 2018 for their client school in Enfield. They are more than happy to consider an NQT as well as more experienced candidates desiring a middle leadership role with responsibility for a subject or as a Head of Year. They are happy to look at strong candidates interested in Part Time too.

Our client is a primary phase opened in September 2013 and they now have five-year groups, from Nursery through to Year 3. They take 90 new pupils into Reception every year. Their academy is identified by its high expectations of, and belief in, all their pupils and these are encompassed in their six pillars. They teach a curriculum that enables all children to make rapid academic progress across a range of subject areas but with an emphasis on reading, writing and numeracy. Their teachers and teaching assistants are highly skilled in ensuring children reach their potential and in making learning challenging, exciting and enjoyable.

The ideal candidate would have the following:
• Be a qualified teacher (achieved QTS status) or PGCE student
• Be qualified to teach and work in the UK
• A teacher with one or two years' experience would also really suit the dynamics of the school
• Good grades at English and Maths GCSE, and strong personal qualifications (A Levels and degree)
• Up to date knowledge of the Early Years/Primary National Curriculum
• Understanding of the strategies needed to establish consistently high aspirations and standards of results and behaviour

We are are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All staff are subject to an enhanced DBS check

We welcome applications from all teachers who feel that they can add value to an already flourishing department and whom can prosper in a highly effective, fast-paced environment. Candidates wishing to apply are requested to forward a copy of their CV to our Primary & SEN Education Consultant Hinal Patel ASAP
