Scope of Service:
Develop and maintain Function Lists to the Product Emergence Process.
Develop and maintain links to Group Systems Engineering.
Identify impacts of client and Group business decisions on vehicle functions and their implementation.
Develop processes to support the Systems Engineering development whilst maintaining synergies with Group.
Collate the function requirements and share with the platform/electrical architecture developers
Act as the Function integration hub across the client Engineering.
Support the Function Design Process ensuring clear requirements are shared with client Functional Project Management across Engineering and Platform developers.
Maintain knowledge of future technology and advancements in Group and the industry.
Develop the Systems Engineering process
Maintain and update the Function 42 database
Support the creation of vehicle electrical architecture topology for use by EE and client System Engineering
Release and change management for Function lists documentation utilising the Function List Engineering portal.
Review business requirements in line with what is technically feasible (Technical Concept Description review into Function Catalogue)
Support concept developments for new programmes
Present status on Function List Development
Work with the electrical architecture team to ensure integration of the Systems Engineering Data.
Support the development of the System Engineering business model.
Work with the electrical architecture team to ensure analysis of functions, systems & components and infrastructure services
Support the BiL release data.
Feedback to Group electrical architecture information on Bentley's projects for the construction of data in the overall platform superset
Advise on Product Design Specifications topics relevant to the age and type of the electrical architecture
Support design reviews as required
Attendance at Systems Engineering Steuerkreis and communication of key information to be circulated to client.
Operate and report Systems Engineering meeting
Use key performance indicators to measure performance and take appropriate corrective actions.
Clear communication of client requirements to the Group and Colleagues.
Lead Function List surgery meetings.
Define and issue project plans to meet project deliverables
Regular project status reports
Financial awareness of role
Create overall project freeze points for each project to reach target maturity.
Publication of Function Lists.
Key Skills / Experience:
Experience of Systems Engineering principles
Wide knowledge of vehicle electrical systems
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to facilitate team work
German Language preferred
Working knowledge of Systems Engineering principles
Networks including CAN, CAN-FD, FlexRay, MOST and LIN
