Our client is a large multi-disciplinary consultancy that provides property and infrastructure services to a wide range of clients form both the public and private sectors.
They offer services across a comprehensive range of market sectors and specialise in the provision of environmental solutions and advice. They have a well established ecology department that is currently expanding and as a result they now require an experienced ecologist to join their office based in Suffolk.
The role will involve undertaking and managing ecological project work as well as the strategic development of ecological studies and the production of habitat and species management plans. Other duties will include developing methods in habitat creation and restoration as part of the planning process, overseeing various components of EIAs and developing existing and potential client relationships.
In order to be considered for the role, applicants must have a relevant degree in a biological science and have professional experience of ecological survey and assessment. This experience should ideally have involved NVC surveys as well as Phase 1 and 2 habitat surveys. At least one protected species licence is also required as is working knowledge of the EIA process. A proven track record in business development would be an advantage.
