The Director of Global Sourcing will be responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies aligned with KeepTruckin's business needs. This position will manage supplier relationships, communicate regularly with senior leaders, execute joint collaborative initiatives, and monitor supplier contract negotiations and product costs. The Director of Global Sourcing will support our development teams and manufacturing partners in the sourcing of Direct Supply Chain components and parts. They will be a member of our Supply Chain Organization supporting the development, implementation and management of strategies to provide KeepTruckin with optimal supply assurance, pricing, flexibility, quality and delivery performance. Responsibilities: Articulate supply base development, commodity market analysis, material cost status, and supplier performance to senior leadership on a regular basis and collaborate to ensure company objectives are met, including quality, reliability, innovation, inventory levels and cost Ensure sourcing strategy execution, negotiations, contract implementation and monitor performance against established targets Drive continual cost reduction and avoidance initiatives through ad hoc price negotiations Manage inventory levels to meet customer requirements. Mitigate excess and obsolete parts and manage liquidation thereof Develop the vision, strategy and implementation plan for direct sourcing strategy execution, negotiations, contract implementation and monitoring performance against established targets Drive price negotiation processes to ensure that Keep Truckin's commodity pricing is best in class Understand operational considerations, identify business demand requirements and partners with leadership to deliver annual value improvements and drive competitive advantage Deliver on financial, service, reliability, quality, innovation, and growth commitments - minimizing inventory while cultivating a flexible supply pipeline that supports shipments to customers Develop deep supplier relationships with strategic suppliers to include data review and analysis Develop and implement sourcing strategies, supplier management policies and practices that ensure cost, quality, and delivery expectations are met Develop and report metrics and performance indicators for supply chain process Develop and implement material productivity targets for the organization through supplier negotiations, low cost sourcing, and value engineering initiative Recruit, hire, train staff, evaluate employee performance, and recommend or initiate promotions, transfers, and corrective action Act as the primary sourcing and cost expert supporting our various Engineering product initiatives, this includes specific parts related to IoT - WiFi, BTLE, Antenna, Memory, Connectors, plastics, Sensors and ICs and other passive components intrinsic to the product designs Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree Hands on technical component knowledge and experience sourcing and negotiating component costs Experience working with and managing Tier 1 manufacturers in Asia Strong business acumen and negotiation skills 10+ years' experience in direct sourcing within the electronics IoT industry Strong leadership, vision setting, communication, influencing, collaboration and talent development skills Strong project management and change management capabilities As an equal opportunity employer, we are committed to diversity in the workforce.
