Under minimal supervision, plans, directs and evaluates functions of the hospital, including but not limited to construction, alteration, operation, maintenance, and disposal of plant facilities and equipment in accordance with established philosophy. Establishes goals, objectives, standards of performance; interpret policies, standards, regulations, and codes. Responsible for orientation, training and management of personnel. Relates effectively with all shifts for continuity of care; maintains satisfactory relations with other departments; participates in all phases of education, maintenance of records, and upgrading of policies, procedures, and skills of personnel. Manages risk, coordinates risk reduction activates in the physical environment, collect deficiency information and disseminate summaries of actions and results including injuries, problems or user errors.
