Your experience in Continuous Improvement and driving change within military / defence environments and knowledge of Lean Six Sigma, will help you to deliver process innovation and continuous improvement initiatives across the Field element of the British Army. You will play a vital role in helping to foster a culture of sustainable change through the creation and embedding of LEAN methodology, and the supporting framework, to deliver organisational transformation.

About the job:
The client requires a Continuous Improvement Lead Consultant (Lean Six Sigma / Black Belt Lead) to foster a culture of sustainable change through the creation and embedding of LEAN methodology, and the supporting framework. This job includes:
•Leading a team of 6 CI consultants working across a complex multi-site project with challenging timelines
•To identify and deliver service improvement activity across the business through employing process improvement methodologies and the application of innovative thinking
•To support delivery of increases in productivity and efficiency in the organisation
•To diagnose problems and implement changes in Army brigades and units, to address inefficiencies and improve productivity whilst mentoring and training Army personnel to do the same
•To deliver change management and Continuous Improvement (CI) training, coaching and mentoring to Army personnel
•To develop the Client's ability to deliver change management and CI training and skills to Army personnel on an enduring basis
•To refine the existing implementation plan and supporting CI material and resources as understanding and experience develops during the Contract.
•To actively monitor project risks to foresee/identify potential problems and proactively identify solutions to address in advance
•To work with key business stakeholders, and multi-jurisdictional 'LEAN champions', to build a continuous improvement environment to support an ongoing programme of change
•To complete post implementation reviews to ensure successful delivery has been achieved and to ensure that improvements can be made for future projects
To be suitable for the Continuous Improvement Lead Consultant job, you will be a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt with proven continuous improvement analytical experience from a similar role, including project management and business analysis. You will need a detailed understanding of the British Army's structure, ethos and values and an ability to work effectively with senior military officers. An excellent understanding of continuous improvement concepts including Six Sigma, Lean, value stream mapping is essential, as is an ability to set-up, facilitate and lead service improvement/'WorkOut' sessions with a range of military stakeholders.
You will need to be a 'completer-finisher' taking accountability for ideas from inception to delivery and have experience of designing or implementing a framework of continuous improvement or remediation plans in a multi-faceted organisation
