This prestigious School in North Essex requires a suitably experienced and qualified Commis de Cuisine/Assistant Chef in our Senior School Catering Team. Shortlisted for the Independent School Caterer of the Year Award in 2018, our kitchen brigade offer a wide selection of cooked food for our boarders at breakfast and supper.
The main duties will involve assisting in the prompt and efficient preparation and service of all our meals to our customer's needed whilst maintaining high standards of hygiene cleanliness.
It is essential that the successful candidate holds a food hygiene certificate, at least a Level 2 qualification in Cookery (or an equivalent certificate) and have a keen interest in the associated duties of working in a busy catering environment. It is important the appointee recognises the importance of safeguarding young people, positive working relationships and a 'can-do' approach to customer service.

This role is a permanent position. The working hours are on a rota system of two days on and two days off from 6:00am to 2:00pm and then 3:30pm to 7:00pm.
