The Commercial Initiative function is responsible for driving the future commercial and brand strategy across the business.
The purpose of the role is to coordinate and support in landing global brand projects right first time. Ensuring a smooth handover process from concept in to the delivery team.
The role requires assisting the Senior commercial initiative manager in landing world class customer propositions across the Dixons Carphone Estate along with working relation with the Design Account function in ensuring that the Format and Commercial Initiative projects are landed 'right first time'. This includes navigating and managing all internal and external processes.
Work closely with retail, commercial, marketing, property, design and space planning functions.
Create and maintain reports and presentations.
Support the Senior commercial manager with internal process, Profile activity and ensure the process is upheld and followed
Liaise and work closely with the Design Account Team in supporting the profitability and revenue strategy.
Aid the coordination of activity across functions and business units to enable the delivery of the business trading strategy and revenue goals.
Influence and communicate with work-streams to align all, behind one joined up plan ensuring that scope, timescales, status, of deliverables are understood and agreed
Ensure that an effective governance framework is in place to seek business approval and inform, update as require through reports, trackers and effective communication.
Sign off and evaluate feedback Vs SLA to support periodic dashboard reporting.
Manage smaller and less complex projects to support the commercial initative manager(s) and aid in personal development, understanding of project structure and improve brand relationships
Support the Senior Commercial initiative manager in landing new process and new ways of working. Help embed the right behaviours throughout the wider team that commercial projects rely on to succeed
You will need:
Excellent organisational skills.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to influence and challenge others.
Previous project management or coordination experience.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Power-point.
Project management skills and qualifications.
Strong analytical background in the use of data for problem solving and decision making.
Understanding of commercial and financial business planning. The ability to understand and simplify complex .project scopes.
Previous category or brand management experience.
