CHEMICAL DEPENDENCY THERAPIST

Creekside Behavioral Center is a 72-bed psychiatric treatment hospital specializing in adolescents, adults and aging adults opening October 2018.
Located in Kingsport, TN, this state-of-the-art facility underscores our commitment to individuals and families seeking support and treatment with debilitating psychiatric concerns.

We are seeking an experienced Clinician with mental health/psychiatric and substance abuse experience required.
The Therapist position supports our emerging organization with professional accountability.
Specifically: Conducts individual and family assessments Facilitates prescribed clinical services, documenting interventions Provides linkage to outside resources and contributes to a cohesive multidisciplinary team Supports the clinical departments services monitoring, quality improvement initiatives, patient outcome processes and positive on-boarding of department personnel May provide teaching or mentoring on a variety of mental health topics to patients, families, coworkers and referral sources Upholds high customer service standards i.e.assisting coworkers, timely responding to telephone messages, email along with attentiveness to changing circumstances within HIPAA privacy guidelines Professionally responsible to practice within an approved scope of practice and policy guidelines as well as within regulatory parameters as set by The Joint Commission, State regulatory agencies including CMS and TN mental health and hospital licensure
Qualifications
This position requires an accredited master's degree in the behavioral sciences with clinical emphasis (i.e. counseling, social work or psychology) and a substance abuse related license/certification is required (LADAC II, MAC, NCAC I or NCAC II)
