Job description

Primary Purpose:Handles inbound calls from small business customers (primarily operating in one of two functions: sales or billing). Sales reps are responsible for selling network and CPE products/services to new and existing customers. Billing reps sell network services and handle billing inquiries such as payment arrangements, collections and bill adjustments to existing customers. Performance is measured on the basis of sales quota attainment, quality and productivity. Performs other related duties as required.Essential Duties/Functions:Duties include but are not limited to the following:Receives high volumes of inbound business customer requests for regulated and nonregulated voice, data and video products/services and billing/credit inquiries.Interacts with customers and analyzes their needs. Recommends solutions and sells the appropriate services to best fit those needs.Accurately computes and quotes rates/prices.Coordinates payment arrangements on live/active accounts and disconnect/reconnect inquiries via telephone calls and/or correspondence. Handle toll/nontoll and final bill inquiries.Inputs and ensures the accuracy of simple regulated and non-regulated service orders while on-line with the customer.Completes customer contact order forms, data customer profiles and associated documents, as required.Employee Qualifications:Tests -- Results obtained in standard tests for this position must meet minimum requirements established by the testing program.Physical DemandsProlonged sitting for extended periods of time.Extensive typing and use of a visual display monitor/computer.Lifting up to 20 pounds.Ability to perform duties while wearing a headset a major portion of the workday.Prolonged sitting for extended periods of time.Extensive typing and use of a visual display monitor/computer.Lifting up to 20 pounds.Ability to perform duties while wearing a headset a major portion of the workday.Other Job CharacteristicsMust have served a minimum of twelve (12) months in a previous sales position.Able to communicate naturally and pleasantly over the telephone and in face-to-face contacts.Possess proper grammatical and legible written communication skills.Indoor office work.Daytime and evening tours of duty.Subject to occasional overtime.Tools and EquipmentPersonal computer, Local Area Network functions for electronic messaging, reference, mainframe systems, and individual software; paper documents, overhead monitors, telephone, headset and calculator.
