This position will serve as a senior level business analyst with the Department of Technology, Management, and Budget (DTMB) Agency Services supporting the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT).
oElicit and document SMART functional requirements.
oDevelop and document technical system requirements.
oReview and document business processes.
oContribute to use case / user stories estimates.
oDevelop use case / user stories documentation.
oConduct walkthrough of use case and GUI documentation.
oDemonstrate skill of complex problem solving, negotiation, and deductive reasoning.
oDevelop functional designs.
oSupport system design and development.
oContribute to the mentoring of less experience Business Analysts on the team.
oFacilitate the communication of technical terminology at a level appropriate to the audience.

Highly Desired Skills
oKnowledge of Michigan government.
oMicrosoft Office (Outlook, Project, Excel, Word, Access, Office).
oKnowledge of SQL and databases highly desirable.
oKnowledge of TOAD or other database querying tool.
oExperience in Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
oKnowledge of the State Unified Information Technology Environment (SUITE).

Required/Desired Skills Skill Required /Desired Amount of Experience Experience facilitating requirements gathering sessions and tracing requirements throughout the project. Required 12 Years Experience developing IT project documentation including use cases/user stories, application requirements, functional designs, and system designs. Required 12 Years Experience using industry-standard methodologies like System Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile Methodology, and Syst Eng (SEM). Required 8 Years Experience creating and documenting workflows. Required 12 Years Experience contributing to Use case/User stories estimates. Required 8 Years Experience with various application systems such as Asset Management, Financial, Licensing, and Permitting systems.
