Job description

Behaviour Support Teaching Assistants
Monarch Education are currently working in partnership with a school who are currently seeking a Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant to work with the school in the new academic year from September. The successful candidate will be working exclusively with a pupil who exhibits challenging behaviour and is known to be 'at risk of exclusion' from the school.
This is a very rewarding role and requires a very resilient individual with exceptional interpersonal skills. Previous experience as a Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant in a secondary school environment would be desired, however the school will also consider applications from people who has worked in a setting outside of education with young people from troubled backgrounds or those who exhibit anti-social / challenging behaviour
Job highlights as a Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant in Stockport:
•Supporting a pupil to help them remove barriers to learning; developing a plan to manage their behaviour, 1:1 support in and out of the class room
•Helping the pupil to reach their full potential and re-engage them with their learning
•Work with the school SENCO and inclusion manager; monitoring progress, tracking behaviour

The School is located in Stockport, you will be joining a support team with strong development measures in place. The school is located close to major transport links from the city centre and surrounding areas. The school is a large community secondary school which was praised in their most recent OFSTED for the strong leadership they have in place and the direction they have planned for the school.
