Behaviour mentor/assistant role in Scunthorpe primary school

To be considered for this role, you must be a confident teaching assistant who has previous experience working with children who have special educational needs. Our ideal teaching assistant will be able to work inclusively with pupils who have additional needs and you will be empathic and understanding to their requirements. You must demonstrate a knowledge of working with children who display behavioural issues.
In this role, you will have the responsibility of working with statemented pupils and helping them reach their targets. As a behaviour mentor/learning support assistant, you will be using not just the facilities available but also the knowledge and experience of a SENCO who has worked at the school for 7 years.
Your duties here will include assisting the teacher with booster groups, and intervention 1:1's, where specific points can be targeted and worked upon.
