Job description

Wildwood Recruitment are seeking an experienced Audio Visual Commissioning Engineer for a well known and established financial institute on behalf of a highly reputable AV company based in London.
ROLE:
The role is working for a leading provider of Audio Visual and Video Conferencing solutions and is expanding overseas as well as the UK.
The function of the commissioning engineer is to carry out setup of the installed A/V system, to ensure it conforms to the high standards that are expected by the customers and clients
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Ownership of overall system performance and ensure the installation is neat and tidy
* Configure the AV equipment - IP addressing, Audio DSP programming, Video system setup (EDID management, Scalers, Video Wall processors), Content Distribution Systems, Video Conferencing Codecs, VoIP Interfaces
* Work with the control system programmer to ensure the design is intuitive
* Conduct Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) of the system prior to site installation, includes witness testing with consultants
* Complete Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) at client's site which includes final adjustment of system prior to handover to client
* Problem solve hardware compatibility issues
* Provide user-training to end client
* Support Project Manager in the successful delivery of all projects
* Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure technical knowledge is gained to successfully deliver projects

SKILLS PROFILE
* Excellent technical knowledge of AV & VC equipment from all major brands
* Good knowledge of general audio and acoustics (understanding of echo cancellation in respect of conferencing, gain structure, etc.
* Manufacture training is preferential - DMC-E, CTS, BiAMP
* An up-to-date understanding of the AV marketplace including products and trends
* Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
* Good understanding of IT and networks
* Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work on multiple projects
* Ability to understand project schedule, plans and schematic diagrams
* Ability to prioritise and work under pressure is essential
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Good understanding of Microsoft Office including Excel and Word
* Manual handling tasks will be required when necessary for moving equipment
