Athletic Trainer

Jefferson Community College, Watertown, NY, a member of the State University of New York (SUNY) system, is conducting a search for a full-time Athletic Trainer. Reporting to the Athletic Director, this position is responsible for all aspects of preventing, evaluating, treating, and rehabilitating injuries sustained by students participating on one of Jefferson's intercollegiate athletic teams. The Athletic Trainer will oversee the fitness center including scheduling employees, budget preparation and developing a five year equipment replacement plan. A flexible work schedule including evenings and weekends is required.

Required : Bachelor's Degree and 3 years appropriate professional experience; National Certification as an athletic trainer by the Board of Certification (BOC) and have, or be eligible for, New York State licensure as an athletic trainer.

Preferred : Certification in First Aid and CPR for the Professional Rescuer; Certification as a Strength & Conditioning Specialist; Previous experience as an athletic trainer in the college setting.
