Job Role: Assistant ReservationsManager PRE-OPENING ROLE ***** Due to the current VISARESTRICTIONS only candidates from within the UAE with a current UAEResidence Visa can be considered for this vacancy***** An AssistantReservations Manager is responsible for achieving occupancytargets/levels as identified in the annual budget and marketingplan for Reservations. As an AssistantReservations Manager, you are responsible for achieving occupancytargets/levels as identified in the annual budget and marketingplan for Reservations. The Assistant Reservations Manager will workwith the Sales and Events Teams to develop future and repeatbusiness opportunities. Specifically, you will be responsible forperforming the following tasks to the highest standards: Maximise occupancy levels by reviewing andrevising revenue strategies Work with theSales and Events Teams to maximise corporate and grouprates Manage third party sites and agents toestablish rates, negotiate prices, ensure proper implementation ofreservations procedures, and maximise conversion ratios in order toachieve targets for the department Contributeto the selling strategy of the hotel, and manage thedepartments' adherence to achieving thatstrategy Understand the competitive marketplace and implement approaches to ensure the hotel stays ahead inthe local market Ensure Team Members aredeveloped effectively and generate a culture of high qualitystandards for relationship building, customer service, sellingtechniques, and billing and processing contractsBuild strong relationships with customers, Guests andTeam Members in order to gain full understanding of their needs andwork to serve them effectively Assist in therecruiting, managing, training and developing of theTeam Participate in the organisation of hotelpromotional activities Tosuccessfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude,behaviours, skills, and values that follow: Previous experience with reservations in thehotel/leisure sector Strong leadership skillsto effectively manage and motivate a high-performing teampositioned to exceed targets Strong analyticalskills to understand key business indicators and competitive trendsand develop approaches to these challengesExcellent selling capabilities and the ability and desireto coach selling techniques to Team MembersExcellent organisation and planning skillsAccountable and resilientFlexibility to respond to a range of different worksituations It would be advantageousin this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilitiesand distinctions: Knowledge of thehotel property management systems Previousexperience in the same or similar roleRelevant degree, in a business discipline, from anacademic institution
