Assistant ExecutiveHousekeeper -Theincumbent in this position is responsible for assisting theExecutive Housekeeper in managing the Housekeeping Department inorder to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness.-They oversee and direct all cleaning and maintenanceoperations on Floors and Public Area. -Closelymonitor all processes related to ensuring high level ofhousekeeping services provided to the guest is timely and defectfree. -In the absence of the ExecutiveHousekeeper, they are fully responsible for the management of theHousekeeping Department. KeyResponsibilities:  Supervise Housekeeping Department Staff to ensure thatguests and customers, whether internal or external, receive promptand courteous service, and to ensure adherence to hotelstandards.  Responsible for Publicarea and Housekeeping Rooms daily operation. On a daily basis, assign duties and special projects toRoom Attendants / Public Area Cleaners, follow up on the progressand keep the Executive Housekeeper informed. Check rooms randomly and particularly all those assignedto V.I.P., V.V.I.P. and Repeated Guests and coordinate the flowerrequirements to these guests and other specialrequests.  Inspect Floors / PublicAreas to ensure that facilities, equipments and amenities are cleanand are well maintained; verify the work performed by outsidecontractors to ensure compliance to their contract; and takecorrective measures in order to meet Kempinskistandards.  Participate in therecruitment of new staff by screening and interviewingapplicants.  Identify the departmenttraining needs, develop the training plan and get the approval ofExecutive Housekeeper before the implementation oftraining.  Keep the HousekeepingStaff informed on the daily operational activities and challengeand provide all information relevant to their jobduties.  Anticipate and maintain allequipments and supplies and assure their availability. Controlusage of all amenities and cleaning supplies to ensure complianceto budget and ensure appropriate usage of equipments andtools.  Handle comments and requestsfrom guests and other departments to meet their satisfaction. Makerecommendations to Executive Housekeeper on improving the servicesprovided by the Housekeeping Department. Monitor housekeeping procedures including Lost and Found,Key Control, Security and Emergency procedures and Health andSafety procedures for employees and guests. Assist the Executive Housekeeper in the preparation ofthe annual manning guide, the CAPEX budget and departmental budgetin order to meet the business objectives. Accomplish several administrative duties related to theposition such as attending meetings, writing reports, maintaining adaily log, etc.  Additionalresponsibilities and tasks can be added at any time according tothe needs of the business and of the hotel.
